In recent days, Google Pixel smartphone users have faced an unusual issue: the At a Glance widget on their screens displayed outdated weather forecasts. According to reports, instead of showing current temperature and precipitation information, users saw data that could be one or two days old. The problem affected both the lock screen and the home screen.
Google responded promptly to the situation by rolling out a fix via the Google App update (version 15.13.0). The company confirmed that the issue stemmed from data synchronization in At a Glance—a feature that automatically displays weather, calendar events, and other useful information. While some users have already received the update, others will have to wait as the rollout progresses in phases.
Experts speculate that the error might have been caused by changes in the backend of Google’s weather service.
