Samsung is working on its most ambitious foldable smartphone yet—a model with two hinges, folding into three parts.
The device, numbered SM-F968, has been certified and is expected to launch only in two countries—China (SM-F9680) and South Korea (SM-F968N)—at the end of 2025.
The absence of global versions (with indexes B, E, U, or U1) suggests that Samsung will limit this release to the local market.
The company likely aims to assess demand and test the reliability of the complex mechanism before a potential international release. Huawei recently adopted a similar approach with its Mate XT model, already available in the Chinese market.
Official specifications have not been disclosed yet, but leaks and patents hint at a larger screen and new multitasking scenarios.
This could mark the biggest update to the Galaxy Fold’s form factor since 2019. For a global release, Samsung seems to prioritize collecting feedback and perfecting the design.
