Yandex has opened access for companies to lease its servers for cloud computing.
Yandex Cloud now provides all companies access to its Yandex BareMetal service, which allows renting dedicated physical servers with the ability to integrate with a cloud environment. This solution helps create a unified computing framework, which is especially convenient for testing and deploying new digital products. The platform also supports API functionality, significantly simplifying integration with business applications.
Gregory Atrepiev, CPO of Yandex Cloud, noted that Yandex’s team of engineers uses their many years of experience in supporting server infrastructure to develop the Yandex BareMetal platform. With this platform, companies can focus on developing IT products while entrusting equipment maintenance to reliable hands.
Research by Yandex Cloud revealed that 59% of Russian companies have started renting physical servers over the past year and a half. This is attributed to a lack of resources for maintaining their own equipment and a growing demand for infrastructure to support AI systems. The most in-demand applications for Yandex BareMetal include data storage and processing, virtualization, as well as hosting business applications and back-office tasks.
