Croatian Ambassador Presented his Credentials at the Mejlis of Turkmenistan

On April 23, 2025, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D. Gulmanova, received Credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to Turkmenistan Hrvoje Cvetanović.

On behalf of the Head of State, the Chairperson of the National Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to the responsible position and wished him success in strengthening the traditional friendly relations and cooperation between two countries.

During the meeting, the Ambassador has briefed on the priorities of our country’s domestic and foreign policy, the composition of the national Parliament, and the works done along legally supporting the program-based reforms implementing in the economic, cultural, and social spheres.

The parties exchanged views on the current state of political and diplomatic relations between two countries, the importance of joining efforts in promoting peace, strengthening trust between countries and peoples, and expanding the scope of friendly cooperation.

In this regard, noted the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation established on a bilateral basis would contribute to enriching the content of Turkmen-Croatian relations. Also mentioned the inter-parliamentary friendship groups established on a bilateral basis play an important role in increasing the effectiveness of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
