Microsoft has introduced accessible Surface devices featuring AI-powered Copilot+ functions.
One of the key innovations is the 13-inch Surface Laptop, which will go on sale on May 20 at a starting price of $799—the lowest price for devices with Copilot+ onboard. Alongside the laptop, an updated Surface Pro tablet with a 12-inch screen is also debuting.
Both devices run on Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chips and are designed to compete with MacBook Air and iPad Pro, offering a more affordable alternative.
Copilot+ includes AI-powered features such as system customization via voice commands and document drafting in Word. Previously, these capabilities were available only on laptops priced above $1,000. Now, Microsoft aims to expand its audience, including students and young professionals.
