Ukrainian football journalist Volodymyr Zverov identified First League clubs that aim to move up to the elite division and those that do not plan to compete in UPL next season.
“Epitsentr” is already certain to play in the Premier League, while “Metalist 1925,” “Kudrovka,” and “Bukovyna” are eager to qualify for UPL. However, three teams do not intend to move up:
“Poltava” holds second place but has no plans for promotion. The same situation applies to “Ahrobiznes.” “YUKSA” has undergone major coaching changes and is facing internal difficulties,» Zverov stated.
Currently, the leader of the First League remains “Epitsentr” (44 points), followed by “Poltava” (35 points), “Metalist 1925,” and “Ahrobiznes” (32 points each). Interestingly, “YUKSA” is in last place in the Championship group but still has a chance to qualify for the Premier League.
