Every year, on the last Sunday of May, Turkmenistan celebrates National Carpet Day. On this holiday, various festivities take place across the country, master weavers are honored, and the nation’s pride in its carpets grows even stronger.
Ashgabat’s Turkmen Carpet Museum preserves the finest examples of this craftsmanship. The intricate patterns, color harmony, and artistic quality of Turkmen carpets are highly esteemed worldwide. This year, as part of Turkmenistan’s Carpet Day celebrations, various exhibitions and fairs were organized. At the invitation of Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russian diplomats visited the Turkmen National Carpet Museum in Ashgabat and explored the finest examples of this remarkable craft.
