In recent years, Azerbaijan has significantly expanded its economic cooperation with Central Asian countries, particularly in the areas of energy, logistics, agriculture, and trade.
In 2025, Azerbaijan hosted a series of high-level meetings and business forums with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. During the “Azerbaijan–Central Asia Economic Cooperation” forum in Baku, the parties confirmed plans to increase mutual investments, implement joint production projects, and expand trade turnover.
International transport corridors through the Caspian Sea are gaining strategic importance. Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are actively collaborating on port infrastructure development and aligning maritime and railway routes, fostering stability and growth across the region.
Thus, Azerbaijan’s partnership with Central Asia is entering a new era, creating opportunities for deeper economic, cultural, and scientific engagement.
