The first Women’s Forum of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is being held in Azerbaijan’s Lachin, Report informs.
The forum is being held within the ECO Week on the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The main goal of the forum is to promote intersectoral cooperation among ECO countries to empower women in all areas of human development, as well as to strengthen the role of women in building sustainable, inclusive, and resilient communities across the ECO region.
The event will discuss the role of women in human development for climate resilience, empowerment of girls and women through education, digital inclusion: innovation and experience sharing, and other topics.
The forum will also serve as a platform for dialogue, cooperation, and experience sharing among women leaders from various countries of the ECO region and relevant international partner organizations.
