On July 3, 2025, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov. This was reported on the website of Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of Azerbaijan on behalf of Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During the meeting, key aspects of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan were discussed. Special attention was given to expanding collaboration in trade and economy, energy, and transport-communication sectors. The importance of joint projects that drive the development of both countries was emphasized.
Additionally, the interlocutors highlighted the significance of strengthening ties in culture, education, and other social spheres. Both sides expressed confidence in the continued advancement of effective cooperation for the benefit of their peoples.
