Google officially confirmed the plans for the unification of his two operating systems – Android and Chrome OS – into one. The goal of the company is to create a more integral ecosystem, reducing the dispamony between devices and simplifying the development of new functions.
Today, Android is actively adapting to devices with large screens, improving windows control and applications compatibility. At the same time, the developers had to optimize applications separately for Chrome OS and Android, which took more time and resources. The new approach will simplify this process and accelerate the implementation of updates.
Information about the association appeared during an interview with the president of the Android version of Google. He noted that the company is interested in understanding how users use their laptops in everyday life, hinting at preparing to launch a single platform. It is assumed that instead of creating a new Google system, it will transfer the functions of Chrome OS directly to Android.
