The Russian startup, with the support of the National Technological Initiative, was developed by an apparatus for monitoring lung diseases. The device uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze breathing and helps to identify deviations with asthma, COPD and other pathologies.
Unlike traditional picflowers and spirometers, which show only individual indicators, a new device in a minute forms a detailed report with graphs and assessment of the condition. This allows not only to track the dynamics of the disease, but also to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment. According to the principle of operation, the device resembles a glucometer for diabetics, but is intended for patients with pulmonary diseases.
As explained by the technical director of the project Sergey Davydov, the development is useful for both doctors for accurate diagnosis and patients for home monitoring. In the future, this can reduce the costs of treating chronic diseases of the respiratory system.
Now the device is preparing for clinical trials in conjunction with Sechenov University. After registration in Roszdravnadzor, developers plan to start serial production for medical institutions and telemedicine services.
