Amazon decided to purchase a startup Bee. This company creates a wearable device and Apple Watch application, which record everything that their owner says. The transaction has not yet been completed, and the purchase conditions are not disclosed. All BEE employees received offers about working in Amazon.
Bee positions its device as a personal assistant with artificial intelligence, who studies, listening to all the conversations and actions of the user. The gadget has a button to turn off the recording, but basically he constantly “listens” everything around. The application can take the results of the day, remind of business and remember important conversations.
However, the device always recalls problems with the confidentiality that Amazon faced several years ago – when it turned out that employees could listen to recordings with Alexa, including random ones.
Now Amazon takes another step into the future of smart gadgets, but privacy issues remain important.
