Google updated the Discover tape, adding a new button that helps to quickly return to the beginning of the news. She appears when you leaf through the tape and begin to scroll the page up.
The novelty is available only in the latest beta version of the Google application (v16.28.59.sa.arm64) and works if you open Discover directly from the main screen of the phone-with a finger to the right. If you enter the Google application itself, the button does not appear.
It is still unknown whether this button will appear in the usual version of Discover inside the Google application, but the developers continue to test various innovations. For example, it has recently been known that Google is trying to add automatic II resume to Discover tape.
