The Omsk Experimental Plant, which is part of the Omsk Agrarian Scientific Center (ANC), is developing a new breeding combine for the Urals, Siberia and Northern Kazakhstan. They plan to present a prototype by the end of the summer of 2026.
The machine is designed to work in the risky agriculture zone, where climatic conditions complicate agricultural processes. According to the director of the Omsk ANC Maxim Chekousov, the combine will be two times cheaper than foreign analogues, and its service will be easier and more affordable.
The peculiarity of the breeding combine is the accuracy of cleaning. Unlike standard models, he must carefully collect small batches of grain from different sections, avoiding mixing varieties. Even one random grain can distort the results of breeding work.
The company also plans to equip the equipment with electronic management systems. This will help compensate for the lack of qualified personnel in agriculture. In the future, the combine will be certified, which will sell it not only in Russia, but also abroad.
