The WHOOSH electricity rental service presented the possibility of starting and completing a trip using SMS messages. The new function is designed for cities where mobile Internet is unstable or unavailable. Now testing has been launched in 15 Russian cities, including Voronezh, Krasnodar, Omsk, Sochi, Izhevsk and others.
To launch the trip, you do not need to open the application – just send an SMS from the room registered in Whoosh. The electric steamer receives a command through an IOT module, which works autonomously or remains in touch with the cloud system. Thus, users can rent transport even without connecting to the Internet.
To start the trip, you need to select a scooter in the parking lot and send an SMS with the text “Start At the end of June 2025, 30.5 million accounts were registered in the service, and the total number of trips exceeded 56.5 million.
