In the cities of Russia, an innovative AI system may appear, which will monitor traffic violations among cyclists and bicycles.
This decision was developed by NTECHLAB, which is a technological partner of Rostec. The system not only fixes the violations, but also makes voting warnings to the violators.
New technology can recognize the most common incidents. For example, if the cyclist was not in a hurry before the pedestrian crossing, the bicycle was rightly parked or travels along the sidewalk, when there is a bike path nearby, the system will remind him of the rules using a voice message. The development is designed to increase the safety and ease of movement in urban spaces.
It is planned that the system will be actively used in parks and other public places. AI system is able to analyze the behavior of drivers of all types of bicycles, including electric and courier models, with the exception of children’s. Currently, the development is at the final stage of testing.
NTECHLAB explained that this is an addition to an existing product that reveals violations by drivers of electric scooters. The developers emphasized that both types of two -wheeled transport can be dangerous for pedestrians, and the new system covers several scenarios of traffic violations, including the most common ones.
