Russian scientists have developed a comprehensive test for the rapid detection of five dangerous infections: plague, cholera, anthrax, brucellosis and tularemia. The development belongs to the specialists of the Microbe Institute and the Research Institute of System Biology of Rospotrebnadzor.
The new diagnostic method allows you to detect pathogens in only 60 minutes. The test is characterized by high sensitivity – it reveals even a minimum amount of pathogenic microorganisms.
The development was carried out as part of the Sanitary Shield of the country. The Rospotrebnadzor emphasizes that although the situation with these infections in Russia is stable, there is a risk of importing them from abroad.
Compact and mobile test systems will help to quickly respond to possible threats. This is especially important to prevent the spread of dangerous diseases in case of their appearance in the country.
