Android Authority insiders said that the new function will be available in the stable version of One UI 8. When calling an unknown number, the system using AI in real time determines whether there is a probability of voice fingering and warns the user about it.
The function has a significant restriction: it works only with outgoing calls. When calling for a disrupted number, a “detection” warning will appear. Then the system will notify the user of suspicion or detection of voice phishing.
According to Samsung, the function recognizes voice phishing based on the data of the National Police Department of Korea and the National Institute of Scientific Research. Therefore, while the work of new functionality is possible only in South Korea.
