Yandex.. Launned in Moscow the first darcle with robots replacing part of the employees.
In a new warehouse, 12 autonomous robots work, which bring racks with goods directly to the collectors. This made it possible to accelerate the process of ordering by about 30% and reduce physical activity on staff.
The robotic zone occupies almost a third of the darstor and contains 84 racks. The same product can be in different places, which increases the density of placement by 15%.
After placing the order, the warehouse management system analyzes the composition and transmits the tasks: perishable goods are collected by people, and robots collect long -term storage.
The Yandex RMS system is responsible for the management of equipment, which calculates routes and coordinates the movement of robots. Now automation covers about 40% of the range.
Representatives of the company said that the Yandex Robots division is engaged in the development and implementation of technology. The project was the first step of the company to wide implementation of automation in logistics and retail.
