Archaeologists from Tomsk University and Hermitage found out that wooden dishes found in the II of the II century burial ground in Khakassia were part of the ancient distillery. It prepared milk vodka – a drink under the names of “Aroga” or “Arch”.
The undergraduate of TSU Vladimir Namy studied these finds and, using 3D models, confirmed that the objects-“Numo”, “Vedeko”, barrel and ceramic vessel-together made up a device for distillation. The device was used not only for strong alcohol, but also for obtaining milk serum, kumys and other products.

According to the researchers, some details were made in a reduced size, possibly had symbolic significance.
