It became known that the Russian team won 6 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence among high school students (IOAI), which took place in China from August 2 to 8.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that earlier Russian schoolchildren won 29 medals at international competitions, now another 8 were added to the piggy bank. Specialists from the Central University, an alliance in the field of artificial intelligence and the Moscow Physics and Technology Institute were preparing.
In 2025, the Olympiad in artificial intelligence was supported by UNESCO. At this IOAI, Russian schoolchildren met with 300 serious rivals from 61 countries.
The Russian team entered the top 10 and won a silver medal. The Olympiad included command and individual stages, where participants solved problems in the field of computer vision, machine learning and processing a natural language. The winners of the All -Russian Olympiads, the AI Challenge contest and other prestigious competitions received medals.
