According to the estimates of the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrei Nikitin, the active use of drones for the delivery of goods will begin in 2-3 years. He stated this in the fields of the Forum “Unmanned Systems: Technologies of the Future” as part of the intensity “Archipelago 2025”.
Especially quickly, according to the minister, the use of drones in agriculture will develop. Nikitin noted the successful experience of cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, where economically effective areas of use of unmanned technologies have already determined.
The head of the Ministry of Transport emphasized the need to elaborate with industry regulators the issues of the introduction of drones. According to him, it is important to determine in advance how these technologies can be used in various areas of the economy.
Earlier, deputy chairman of the Government of Yakutia Anatoly Semenov reportedthat the intermediate results of the operation of the unmanned delivery service “Air crossing” were summed up. Since the beginning of July, the drones made 192 flights, transporting 143.5 kg of cargo. The total flight time was 39.7 hours.
