The former top manager of Google X Mo Gavdat said that the idea of creating artificial intelligence of new jobs is “100% nonsense”.
In his opinion, AI will replace people in almost all areas, including the work of managers. He gave an example to his own startup Emma.Love, who created together with only two developers, while earlier than 350 specialists would have required this earlier.
Gavdat believes that in the next 15 years, AI will hit especially strongly in junior positions, leaving without the prospects of graduates and young specialists.
At the same time, he sees the positive side – people will be able to get rid of endless working days and automate the routine, having achieved a better balance between work and life.
As a response to the mass release of workers, Gavdat proposes to introduce a universal basic income.
However, he warns that this system is vulnerable to greed and abuse by leaders, and the transition to a new economic reality will be difficult.
