Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 bypassed Exynos 2600 in the Geekbench benchmark before exit

12.08.2025

The new flagship processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 first appeared in the Geekbench tests – a month before the official announcement. The chip was seen in the Samsung smartphone with the SM-S947U model code. This is probably Galaxy S26 Edge.

In Geekbench 6.4, the processor scored 3,393 points in a single -core test and 11,515 in multi -core. This is approximately 9% higher than last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, the results can be underestimated: the test device worked with the frequency of the main nucleus of 4.0 GHz, while the maximum speed is 4.74 GHz.

Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 received a familiar scheme of 8 cores (6 energy -efficient at 3.63 GHz and 2 productive), as well as support for SME instructions, which will improve work with AI and machine learning.

The Galaxy S26 Edge prototype in the test had 12 GB of RAM and Android 16 with an early version of the One UI 8.0 shell.

Even without maximum power, the chip confidently bypassed Exynos 2600, whose indicators are 2,155 and 7,788 points. Comparisons with the main competitor, Dimensity 9500, is not yet.

The official presentation of Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be held on September 23.
