In the next two years, Google will invest $ 9 billion in expanding infrastructure for artificial intelligence and cloud services in the state of Oklahom.
Part of the funds will go to the construction of a new data center campus in the city of Stillwood. In addition, the company plans to increase the capacities of the already current center in Priora. These projects are aimed at increasing resources for the operation of AI and cloud technologies in the USA.
Financing will be partially included in the Google capital expenses plan for 2025. The remaining funds are intended for future investments. The maternal company Alphabet increased the total annual budget of capital costs to about $ 85 billion.
In addition to expanding the infrastructure, Google will allocate another $ 1 billion for training programs in the field of artificial intelligence. These funds are intended for American universities and non -profit organizations. More than a hundred higher educational institutions have already joined the initiative.
The company notes that the development of data centers in Oklahom and investment in education is associated with the growing demand for computing power for AI, as well as the need to train specialists in this field.
