In Moscow and the regions are tested by the new Amin mobile application to control foreign citizens. From September 1, 2025, its use will become mandatory for labor migrants arriving in a visa -free manner.
The application will allow foreigners to report the address of residence and its changes to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The main feature is the automatic transmission of data on the user location. According to the director of the multifunctional migration center Anton Ignatov, this will help law enforcement agencies increase security and prevent violations.
Since 2026, the service will apply to foreigners who come not to work for a period of more than 90 days. The exception was made for citizens of Belarus, children, diplomats and employees of international organizations.
The application is already available for installation. Migrants can familiarize themselves with its functions before the beginning of mandatory use.
