At the International Forum “Unmanned Systems: Technologies of the Future”, KamAZ showed an autonomous truck “Mayak-2”, which is a CAMAZ-54901 truck tractor of a new generation, related to the K5 modeling range. The machine belongs to the class of highly automated vehicles (WATS). This was reported by the TASS agency.
The Autonomous Truck “Mayak-2” functions at the third level of autonomy: in the cabin there is a driver who is constantly able to take control at any time.
KAMAZ-54901 was manufactured at the production facilities of the enterprise in Naberezhnye Chelny. The composition of the on -board equipment includes the main computing module of the automated movement control system (ASUD), modules of machine vision, video surveillance systems, lynar, radar and high -precision inertial navigation, satellite navigation and communication system, as well as a “black box”.
