In Macau, the Sino-Makao-Shanhai Center for Transalizing Medicine using artificial intelligence was opened. The center was created with the support of the Makao University of Science and Technology, and operates on two venues – in Shanghai and Macau. Its goal is to combine the scientific resources of two cities, accelerate the implementation of medical developments based on AI and improve healthcare.
According to Xiang May Su, a member of the Shanghai City Committee of the KPPK, Shanghai is responsible for technological innovations, and Macau helps to combine international and Chinese resources and advanced medical achievements.
The director of the Shanghai Institute for Research in the field of AI Sun Haitao noted that a third of leading companies in the field of AI of China is concentrated in Shanghai, there are large medical databases and a developed biomedical industry.
It is planned to actively develop the integration of Chinese and Western medicine, standardize approaches in traditional Chinese medicine and create multilingual databases.
The project is also aimed at strengthening international relations, including with portugal -speaking countries.
