The temporarily acting governor of the Novgorod region, Alexander Dronov, announced plans to launch air traffic in the region. He talked about this in his Telegram channel after a meeting with the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Dmitry Yarov.
The meeting discussed an important project to resume flights from the Novgorod region to other cities of Russia. This decision was made after long discussions. In addition, we are talking about flights on liners of completely domestic production.
According to TASS, in May 2025 the airfield in Krechevitsy went to federal ownership. Now the Federal Air Transport Agency is engaged in its reconstruction, adjusting, including design estimates. They plan to start work in mid -2026.
