NVIDIA introduced the GeForce RTX 5090 d V2 – a graphics card with 24 GB GDDR7, which replaced the original RTX 5090 D with 32 GB of memory.
The Chinese publication ITHOME has published a review of the novelty. It turned out that its main difference is a reduced volume and a memory bus (384 bits versus 512 bits), which reduced the throughput to 1344 GB/s.
Interestingly, in tests, the difference in performance is almost invisible. So, in the 3DMark Time Spy, the novelty showed 48,870 points against 49 004 in a 32-gigabyte version (a gear only 0.2%).
In real games, the discrepancy is also minimal: in Black Myth: Wukong version RTX 5090 d V2 issues 95 FPS in 4K, while the older model is 98 FPS. In Cyberpunk 2077, the indicators coincide with a difference of 1 frame, and in CS2 a new card lags by about 4%.
