Another innovation will appear in iOS 26: the Imessage messenger will be added to the functionality of the drafts. This was reported by the Phonearena portal.
A special “draft” folder will appear in the application, where incomplete messages will be stored, which, in theory, subsequently can be edited. Access to the folder can be obtained through the new filter button in the upper right corner, next to the sections “Messages”, “Spam” and “Recently removed”. The filter may include additional parameters: “Send later” or “Unread.”
Drafts will be saved automatically, as in other instant messengers. The filter button will become blue so that users do not forget about its activation. Repeated pressing the filter will turn off.
The source notes that this function has long been expected and will be available in September after the release of iOS 26, which is now at the beta testing stage on the supported iPhone models.
