In Russia, an algorithm will be developed for identifying cases of using artificial intelligence (AI) in the commission of cybercrifts. The work will enter into a plan for the fight against digital fraud, approved by the government.
The project will be engaged in the Minzifra, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Roskomnadzor. The completion of the development is scheduled for the first quarter of 2028. The algorithm will analyze the methods of attacks and identify the signs of the application of and technologies.
In parallel, they will create a unified register of official sites of popular online stores. This will help fight “electronic doubles” – fake resources that scammers use to steal personal data. The register may be launched to the third quarter of 2026.
The work on the registry is attended by the Ministry of Councils, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Federal Tax Service and Roskomnadzor. The measure is aimed at reducing the number of phishing attacks and protecting users from unscrupulous sites.
