Specialists of the Russian Mikrob Russian Anti-Shchumniy Institute have developed an express test to detect brucellosis. The new method allows you to get results in 90 minutes – twice as fast as existing analogues.
The test was created as part of the federal project “Sanitary Shield of the country”. It is characterized by high accuracy and is intended for surgical diagnosis of a dangerous infectious disease. The institute is ready to produce up to 5 thousand tests annually, which will provide the necessary level of control over the spread of infection.
Brucellosis is caused by brucella bacteria and is transmitted from pets to a person. The disease has mild symptoms similar to other diseases, which often leads to late detection. Fast diagnosis is critical for the timely start of treatment.
The new test will simplify the identification of the pathogen in the samples of biomaterial.
