The President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) Gennady Krasnikov said that there was a special department that will organize and control work on space programs.
The new structure will oversee the implementation of tasks both in academic institutions and at the enterprises of the State Corporation Roscosmos. This will ensure a more effective coordination of scientific research in the cosmic sphere.
In addition, RAS and Roscosmos formed a joint permanent advisory body. Its goal is the operational solution of emerging issues related to the implementation of space programs. This body has already begun to work.
The creation of new structures is associated with the implementation of the federal project “Cosmic Science”. The project includes programs for the study of the planets of the solar system, the study of long -range space, as well as conducting biological and material science experiments in orbit.
