Google introduced a new version of its artificial intelligence platform called Gemini for Government, created specifically for state institutions. The package includes the usual Google tools, such as Notebooklm, as well as the possibility of searching, generating images and videos. The price differs.
The main goal is to simplify the work of officials due to the automation of routine tasks. For this, ready-made Jeenets are provided, for example, for deep research and generation of ideas. If desired, public structures will be able to create their own agents for specific tasks. A separate emphasis is on security and data protection.
The most interesting is the price. Google offers to use Gemini for only 50 cents per year, with the ability to pay more for additional security functions. This is a clear injection to competitors: Openai and Anthropic recently voiced the price of $ 1 a year for state customers.
The struggle for contracts with the government goes against the backdrop of the recently adopted AI Action Plan President Donald Trump. The document is designed to accelerate the development of AI in the United States, turn it into an export product and remove “ideological bias” from models.
