The Russian government began to develop a second package of measures aimed at protecting citizens from scammers. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko as part of a working meeting with President Vladimir Putin.
One of the key initiatives of the new package will be the opportunity for citizens to apply self -corruption to international calls. According to Grigorenko, this measure is considered effective, since a significant part of the fraudulent calls come from abroad, while most people do not have regular need for such calls.
The government is also working on the introduction of responsibility for the use of artificial intelligence technologies scammers. Attackers are increasingly using AI to fake voice and videos in order to deceive citizens. The authorities intend to recognize this as an aggravating circumstance in the commission of a crime.
