From September 1, the SIM cards sales points in Russia should be equipped with video cameras, and records from them should be stored for at least 30 days. This follows from the government of the government that refers to RIA Novosti.
According to RIA Novosti, this requirement is contained in the rules for the provision of telephone services approved by the government. The document also indicates the requirements for premises and equipped trading places where contracts for mobile services are concluded.
According to the new rules, to conclude contracts for communication services when providing an identity document, the premises must be equipped with video recording means. The cameras are necessary to fix the actions of the representative of the telecom operator and the citizen with whom the contract is concluded, and to save the data of at least 30 calendar days.
