Microsoft fired two employees who participated in protest in the office of President Brad Smith. Ricky Fameli and Anna Huttl programmers were dismissed after a group of seven protesters penetrated the Smith’s office.
During the protest, the protesters conducted a live broadcast on Twitch, demanding from Microsoft to break off relations with the Israeli government. As a result of the incident, the police arrested Anna Hattle, Ricky Fameli, as well as former employees of Microsoft, Hossama Nasra and Joe Lopez. The former employee of Google and another employee of the IT sphere were also detained.
The representative of Microsoft said that the dismissal occurred “in connection with serious violations of corporate rules and the Code of Conduct.” The company did not provide additional comments.
Earlier, Anna Khattl has already participated in protests on the territory of Microsoft, the media write. Apparently, then she was forgiven for it.
