The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia in September 2025 will launch a system for tracking pharmaceutical substances. According to Deputy Minister Ekaterina Prozhezheva, she will be integrated into the current system of labeling of drugs.
The new system will monitor the ingredients used in the production of pharmaceuticals. This applies to both purchased and components produced in Russia. Information will be transmitted to special components of the marking system.
The system will ensure the confirmation of the actual production of drugs in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. It will record all the stages of the technological process – from the purchase of ingredients to the production of finished products.
The marking of drugs in Russia is valid since July 1, 2020. It allows you to track the turnover of each drug and fight illegal products. The new development will expand the possibilities of monitoring the pharmaceutical market.
