Russian Railways Director Oleg Belozerov said that in the future, high -speed trains will become unmanned, controlled by artificial intelligence. This was the Russian Railways CEO at the Space 1520 exhibition “Pro // Movement. EXPO”. The assembly of the first such train will begin in the coming days.
Such a high -speed train called “White Krechet” will be the fastest in the country, will be able to develop speeds of up to 400 km/h. The train is built for a high -speed railway. Testing is scheduled for the fall of 2027 on the route from Zelenograd to Tver.
In 2028, the first stage of a high-speed network connecting the central and north-west federal districts starts. The trip from Moscow to St. Petersburg will be 2 hours 15 minutes.
“We see, and developments confirm that the train will be unmanned in the future, highly automated, <...> and artificial intelligence will control this train,” Belozerov said.
