Samsung has reached an important line: its factories in Vietnam since the beginning of work in April 2009 produced more than 2 billion smartphones. The solemn event took place on August 26, VietnamPlus reports.
Buadnin and Taiyan factories produce both Galaxy budget models and flagship devices, including the latest folding Galaxy Z Fold 7. Most of the products are exported to North America and other key markets.
The head of the Samsung TM ROH mobile unit visited Vietnam and met with Prime Minister Fam Min Chin, emphasizing the long-term plans of the company in the country. In addition to smartphones, other Samsung units also work in Vietnam.
Vietnam overtook the Samsung factory in India and South Korea, becoming the largest production base of the company.
