The press service of the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University “LETI” reported that the center for engineering developments of advanced electrical engineering will appear on the basis of the university.
The main partner will be the Kursk electric equipment – a key enterprise of the electrical cluster of the Kursk region. The center will develop equipment for engineering, automotive, shipbuilding and other industries.
The activity will be concentrated in four technological areas: promising power transformative equipment, electricity accumulation systems, Internet of Energy (energy transition) and ship electrical engineering. The development of the center should contribute to the achievement of technological sovereignty in key industries.
As the rector of Lati Viktor Sheludko noted, the center will become a single scientific and production space uniting the interests of scientific groups and industrial enterprises. It is planned that by 2031 the amount of financing of work will exceed 100 million rubles annually.
The center will also be used for the project activities of students of the Electronics and Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Engineering School. This will ensure the training of demanded specialists in the field of power circuitry and automatic control systems.
The project took second place in the competition of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
