Sber submitted a new solution on the basis of artificial intelligence (AI) to predict the needs of cancer centers in drugs. Development allows you to calculate the necessary amounts of medicines for a year in advance, taking into account the specifics of a particular medical institution.
The system analyzes the historical data of medical institutions: the number of patients on diagnoses, the treatment regimen and their cost. Based on this, artificial intelligence builds a forecast of incidence for individual nosologies and calculates the optimal volume of procurement.
Pilot tests showed that the model is 42% more effective than human planning in optimizing drug support. This avoids a deficiency of vital drugs, prevents the suspension of therapy due to lack of medicines and helps to rationally use budget funds.
The technology is also able to predict the need for a hospital, which increases the efficiency of medical institutions. Accurate procurement planning prevents both lack and excessive accumulation of drugs.
The decision was presented at the Eastern Economic Forum.
