Presidential adviser Anton Kobyakov: Russia needs a quick breakthrough in robotization

06.09.2025

Russia must soon make a serious breakthrough in robotization in order to increase labor productivity. This was stated by the presidential adviser and executive secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum Anton Kobyakov.

He noted that the countries of the region are already greatly ahead of Russia in the number of robots in workplaces. For example, in South Korea, 10 thousand people account for about 1 thousand robots, in Singapore – 700, in China and Japan – 400.

According to Kobyakov, by October 1, the Government of the Russian Federation should approve the plans of structural changes in the economy. Among the tasks: improving the technological level, changing the structure of employment and consumption, improving the investment climate, optimizing foreign trade, increasing the efficiency of defense and security, as well as the development of a new trade model.

He added that the Central Bank, together with the government, should ensure the active use of the digital ruble, including its use in budget processes.

All these measures, Kobyakov emphasized, are directly related to the development of the Far East.
