At a forum in Bishkek, Nikita Filin, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental and African Studies at the Institute of Eurasian and Eastern Studies of RGGU, stated that the construction of the China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan railway is one of the most important infrastructure projects in the region.
According to him, the project will bring benefits to all interested parties, including Russia. Filin emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is becoming a key transit country between East and West, and the new railway will open up further opportunities for expanding trade and economic ties as well as strengthening regional integration.
