Throughout the year, the textile industry in the Lebap region has remained one of the fastest‑growing sectors of local industry. According to the newspaper Türkmen gündogary, this momentum continued through the end of November.
Since the beginning of the year, textile factories in the region have produced over 415 million manats worth of cotton yarn, marking a 12% increase compared to the same period last year.
Silk fabric production has also set new records in the region’s socio‑economic statistics. Over the first 11 months, the output of silk fabrics grew by nearly 66%. In 2025, the region produced more than 249 thousand square meters of such fabrics — almost 100 thousand square meters more than during the same period of the previous year.
These results highlight the steady development of Lebap’s textile sector and the expanding production capacity of local enterprises.
