The Indian Film Festival, which kicked off on January 20 at the Ashgabat Cinema, is organized by the Embassy of the Republic of India in Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Culture of our country, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the friendly country.
During the festival, which will end on January 24, the Turkmen audience will be presented with the best works of Indian cinematography of various periods and genres.
The festival program includes such feature films as “12th Failure” (2023), which describes ways to overcome various difficulties encountered in life, “83” (2021), which tells about sports achievements, “Raksha Bandhan” (2022), which glorifies family values, and “English-Vinglish” (2012). The festival also gives space to classic Indian films that have won the love of adult viewers. In particular, the films “Zita and Gita” from 1972, the musical “Disco Dancer” (1982) and “Revenge and Law” from 1975 will be shown.
