On January 22, an official meeting took place between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the United States of America Donald Trump within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

During the talks, the current state and future prospects of the strategic partnership between the two countries were discussed. The leaders exchanged views on energy, security, trade, and regional stability. Efforts aimed at strengthening Azerbaijan–U.S. relations were highly appreciated.
President Ilham Aliyev emphasized Azerbaijan’s active role on the international stage and its sustainable economic growth, noting the importance of further expanding cooperation with the United States. President Donald Trump, in turn, praised Azerbaijan’s contribution to regional stability and expressed readiness to deepen bilateral relations.
