The U.S. Special Representative for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor, during his visit to Turkmenistan, held a meeting with Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. The meeting focused on the current state of diplomatic relations between the two countries and future opportunities.
The parties engaged in substantive discussions on regional stability, economic cooperation, and the expansion of international dialogue. Sergio Gor emphasized the importance the United States attaches to strengthening ties with Turkmenistan and expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will continue to grow.
The U.S. representative also highlighted new opportunities for collaboration in energy, transport logistics, education, and security. Both sides discussed initiatives aimed at supporting peace, sustainable development, and economic integration in the region.
